This 1,400sqm corner lot is located at the shoulder of Verdun, at a stone throw from the future ABC Verdun's west access and on Bachir Kassar Street, the doorway to Verdun for drivers coming in from the South entrance of Beirut.
Acting as a natural extension to the mammoth future mall, a program of flexible office space and a retail base were established as objectives for the program.
The triangular shape of the land lead to a similarly special geometry in the built volume, benefitting from a long exposure on the long east facade. We intended for the skin to wrap around the built volume and thus enforcing the nodal quality of the project, standing tall diagonally to the Mufti Hassan Khalid Public Park, thus allowing beautiful exposure and comfortable light.
The narrow southern exposure is shielded via deep horizontal louvers flowing parallel to the skin, and steps down to the ground floor via lush gardens. The views deep to the boulevard, doubled by the difference in levels between the site and the highway will be surprising.
